The Wrong Missy
First of all, the blog received a lot of views last week!! Thank you for passing by! I guess I’m doing something right, at last.
Last week I saw the trailer of The Wrong Missy and I immediately put it on my list, so when it was out, I rushed to watch it. First let me say that if you are a film connoisseur, who likes to discuss Iranian and German cult movies, this is definitely not for you.
It’s Happy Madison Productions AKA Adam Sandler, even though his name or himself are nowhere to be found, it’s a typical kind of movie he creates and produces. Whoever enjoys goofy, entertaining movies, which their mission is literally is only to entertain, you are in for a treat. There is nothing philosophical about the movie.
Tim Morris is the most boring character ever
After a disastrous first date since being dumped by his fiancé, Tim Morris decides he is not going to date for a while, since there is too much disappointment involved, he was going to wait for the right one to show up.
During a business trip, he bumped into a lady at the airport, they get along really well and exchange numbers, so they would keep in contact. Her name is Melissa, she is gorgeous and Miss Maryland. The name of his disaster previous date was also named Melissa.
A while after getting back from his business trip, Tim is invited to go on a trip retreat for the company in Hawaii, and his friend has the genius idea of Tim inviting Melissa to join him. He texts her, she is excited and says yes. Guess who shows up? The Wrong Missy.
The chaotic Missy- on Netflix
Missy is chaotic, loud, and brutally honest. She carries a “support knife” she calls Sheila, some dog tranquilizer pills to drug people, and she drinks like there is no tomorrow. During the entire movie, we can see the character progress based on small bites of information, of who she is, because the movie is not all about her, it is about that boring cucumber, played by David Spade and the relationship they develop during the trip.
It makes me wonder, do different people really get attracted to each other? Do you believe in the opposite attraction? I certainly do. My husband is more contained than me. I’m the loudest person on his family, I was banished 5 Christmas ago.

I’m a master of distraction, to quote Michael Scott, from The Office. I have always been kind of intense, and for as long as I can remember I was called crazy. I never cared, I followed my instincts, just like the wrong Missy.
I’m The Wrong Missy
I was never the type to simply fit in, I decided early on that I would do what made me happy, even if it made some people frown. My first memory of being super weird is from when I was about 6, in kindergarten. After the recess at the playground, we got back inside the class for the rest of the day, as the teacher started talking, I got up, removed my red converse and shook my shoe at the top of my table.
This was in the middle of her lecture. The sand was annoying me, even though it could have waited, every single kid had sand in their shoes, I got up and cleaned it in the middle of class. I still remember getting yelled at so loud. Another memory was crashing the Marriott hotel pool with my best friend in my early twenties, we pretended to be guests in order to swim.
Be true to your school
Applying for a Server job while having no idea of how to be a waitress, while juggling plates and dishes. The important thing here is to “stay true yourself”. You might learn things that will make you extremely fun and unique, people want to be around you, or possibly not, because some people are just hard-headed anyway, and you shouldn’t care about them. That’s why I created “Living Out Loud Too”.
The mission with “Living out loud too”, came from the idea that, me being an immigrant, also me wanting to have a chance to enjoy my life at the fullest, while having similar experiences as a born and raised American (Hello Student Loans!). Being a writer, I find it very difficult to have my voice heard.
I take baby steps and I’m careful about the content I post. For the longest time, I felt out of place. How hard is it for you to follow your dreams? For me, extremely difficult. Maybe not following my dream, but the path in order to follow my dream is difficult, I get things written and have to worry that it will not be misinterpreted or sound like someone else. I finally cracked the code a few weeks ago.
The blog is for people like me. The struggle is real.
This blog is for people who like me, who are in different stages of life, wanting to try something different, like venture themselves in a new career, illustration, short stories or many other activities. The point is, you have to try it. I’m a recent graduated in Creative Writing for the Entertainment Business, at Full Sail University, which made me proficient in writing for different outlets like Tv, Movies, Video Game, Transmedia, Prose and Comic Books. I can write out loud too!
Writing news:
On writing news, I drew another comic, this time about my co-worker, a Bartender, who chopped her finger while working at the bar. As I keep writing these short stories and dialogues, I get myself thinking. Can you believe that these things actually happen on a daily basis, like every shift?
Not necessarily cutting your finger, that would be too much, but the adrenaline that it takes to work on a restaurant on a Friday or Saturday night. My Apple Watch would explode from so much walking, it would go alert me because my heart would be racing so fast from moving and all the talking that I have to do.
I would like to measure when Karen shows up, with her entire family and bug me for two hours nonstop. Right after she prayed to Jesus on Sunday Church. It feels like the cross that I have to bare, at least once every shift.

Last, but not least, I finally figured out how to add the subscribe box as a pop-up, with MailChimp, so now, if you’d like, you can subscribe to receive emails and check out the progress with the writing projects.
Stay Safe!
